Sorry, this is a complete bunch of nothing he is talking about. The guy just has a blog and his ‘bussiness model’ is nonsense, there is no concept behind, there is no added value for the brands at all. The fact is that this guy is being used by big brands right now because its a ’success’ story. But the ’success’ is not based in the content at all, its based in the marketing of the companies themselves. The day this guy is not useful anymore, he will find out he has been selling smoke.

Atila, if you don’t get Nalden, you don’t get it at all…really don’t get it…

Social media is the new marketing force…the old media market is completely saturated and can’t deliver a message anymore… Blogs, like Nalden’s, have the new power to do so. And not by presenting the whole message, but just enough to get you interested and make you find out for yourself…it’s the other way around…

I heard from the new Philips television via Nalden, so how is that not adding value for a brand? Besides that, would you really think Philips (of all companies) would have contacted Nalden, because he lacks concept, value and just is a hype…?? If you really believe that, I can only think: HaHahaHa like Nalden

As stef points out you have to get it. You need to be open to what is new…

Philips is very good when it comes down to (don’t know the exact term) camouflaged enviroment technology. Technology that is very subtle placed and isn’t noticed right away until you use it. It embraces it’s environment instead of changing it.

What you see with the Nalden wallpaper advertisement it goes that way, “camouflaged enviroment brand placing”. The branding is so exclusive that it’s especially adjusted to Nalden brand experience.

If you connect the dots with that, you have someone like Nalden (you also need to pay attention to his offline presence) a credible person. Who directly tells his audience, in his way (see customised wallpaper), what they could/ should look for when they buy for instance a TV. Instead of having Philips tell Nalden’s audience to buy that TV…

It’s a real smart and new form of advertisement…as I pointed out earlier, you just slightly ‘touch’ your audience instead of slamming advertisements in their faces. This creates interest with the audience, and they will go find out for themselves what just ‘touched’ them. The medium Nalden gives the message a certain credibility…

The power of social media is undeniable…call it marketing 2.0 if you will…

I wish the day I become not useful anymore comes quick so I can have my well deserved vacation with my girl hahaha. Glad to read Stef & Omar do understand my idea of online advertising. And Atilla, I’m happy to announce, the company you work for, is also advertising on my site. Seems your marketing directors understand the value of it.

cheers.

Nalden, the company I work is not relevant. Im just an employee there. Its also not relevant to tell me that you know where I work, sounds like a threat? I’ve been following for some time now, and I keep on believing the same. I guess I have the right to think whatever I want, thats also the power of social media right? Everyone can speak up. Does not surprise me you work for ‘my’ company, since you work for everyone, including the competitors. To me, you are a communicating agency that doesn’t want to be one and regenate of that. I dont deny social media and the power, yada, yada…but I don’t recognize you as a guru of it. Your blog might be a good platform, but your concepts are empty.
Good luck and take care.
